We’ve Found the Chelsea Flower Showstoppers

The West End. Secret Cinema. The Olympics. If there’s one thing London is good at, it’s putting on a show.

This week, the show is flower-powered and the stage is South London. You guessed it – we’re celebrating the arrival of Chelsea Flower Show.

For the past few weeks we’ve watched leaves, petals and stems be carefully weaved into the frontage of our favourite summer spots. Every shop, restaurant and bar south of the river seems to want in on the botanical action.

To toast the event, we’re pulling up a seat at spots in the capital that have dressed up for the occasion. We’re talking edible flowers, garnish tables and English rose garden desserts. What’s more, this year every floral drink bought will be handed over with a free helping of sunshine – hurrah!

So, with London in full bloom we’ve round up our top four places in London to help you get into the summer spirit, outside of the ticket-only horticultural fair.

Scroll down and take your pick, petal.

Annabel’s, Berkeley Square

Pay a visit to perhaps one of the most elegant clubs in the world, Annabel’s. The Berkeley Square venue has collaborated with the experts at Flowerbx to create an epic flower show of it’s own this year, both inside and out.

46 Berkeley Square, W1J 5AT

Ivy Chelsea Garden, King’s Road

Named after the popular leafy climbing plant, there’s no surprise that this spot is staying true to its roots with a showstopping floral installation. The restaurant has partnered with British fashion designer Jenny Packham, to celebrate the show. Visitors can also enjoy flowers, food and bespoke floral cocktails until Sunday, 1 July.

195 -197 King’s Road, SW3 5EQ

Bluebird Chelsea, King’s Road

Situated just a stone’s throw from the Chelsea Flower Show venue, Bluebird is celebrating occasion by partnering with Pearl & Groove, the famous Portobello Road bakery, to create a Chelsea Flower Show and Royal Wedding-inspired afternoon tea.

350 King’s Road, SW3 5UU

Rag & Bone, Sloane Square

Urban apparel brand rag & bone have sweetened up their exterior with this Chelsea Flower Show installation. With help from florist Harper and Toms, the Sloane Square display is inspired by the music and graphic arts that emerged from the ‘Summer of Love’ in the 1960’s and is up until Saturday 26th May.

13-14 Sloane Square, SW1W 8SB

Jo Malone Morris Minor, Covent Garden

It seems a car has parked itself in London’s very own cobbled garden, decorated with an abundance of cascading flowers. Thanks to the team at Jo Malone, this Morris Minor has become insta-famous in a matter of days. Check it out in Covent Garden.
